RESPONSIBILITY

Built to be repaired

The most sustainable watch is the one you never need to replace. Everything below is what we actually do, including what we have not solved.

THE COMMITMENTS

What we hold ourselves to

Recycled steel

Cases are milled from billet with a minimum 80% recycled content, certified by the mill rather than self-declared.

Ten-year parts

We stock service parts for ten years after a reference is discontinued. Not a policy we can quietly drop — it is written on the warranty card.

Plastic-free packing

Moulded pulp and paper tape. No foam, no polybags, no plastic window in the box.

Repair before replace

Under warranty we repair by default. Replacement happens only when a repair genuinely cannot restore it.

SERVICEABILITY

No proprietary tools, no sealed modules

Any competent watchmaker anywhere can open, service and regulate a Marco Roma calibre. We do not use glued-in modules, single-use fasteners or tools only we are allowed to buy.

That decision costs us the service revenue a closed system would guarantee. It also means your watch does not become disposable the day we stop trading.

BEING HONEST

What we have not solved

Air freight is the big one. Insured watch shipments effectively have to fly, and we have not found a sea or rail route that keeps the insurance valid. We offset it, which is mitigation rather than a fix.

Stone dial offcuts are the second. Cutting round dials from a rectangular slab wastes material we currently cannot reuse. We are testing smaller components from the offcuts and it is not solved yet.
